Repository Network Ireland is a group for repository managers, librarians and information professionals in Ireland.

Aims of the RNI:

We are delighted to announce that Repository Network Ireland have organised, a TeachMeet for Open Access week 2017. This is a free event and is sponsored by and jointly run with OpenAIRE.

FREE EVENT For Open Access Week 2017, RNI jointly with OpenAIRE will host Teachmeet 2017: A Policy into Practice workshop on embedding standardised Open Science skills for your researchers.
Date: Thursday, October 26th 10:30-16:30
Venue: Trinity Long Room Hub. Lunch & refreshments sponsored by OpenAIRE.

Delegates are encouraged to prepare and bring with them a 1 minute description of the Open Research skills provision currently provided by their institution. This will form the basis of the afternoon workshop which will be structured around key topics in Open Science skills provision. The outcomes of the event will be collated in the form of an open access report and will feed back into national policy.

This event is free but we ask you to register on Eventbrite so we know how many to expect. The Draft Programme for the day is below and also available on the Eventbrite page. Details will be updated on Eventbrite and on our Wiki as we confirm the various speakers.

To celebrate Open Access Week 2016, Repository Network Ireland and Digital Repository of Ireland will co-host a Teach-meet event at RIA. The themes are Repository Metrics and Repository Interoperability. This is a free event but registration is neccessary so we know how many people will attend. We will have a number of short presentations from people working in Repositories and time for questions and discussions. The aim is to share information and skills. Anyone working on, or interested in, repositories is welcome to attend.
Oh, we all love cakes, so if you can bake, we'd love you to bring some cakes along (entirely optional)!
